Tyson's Corner Center is the largest shopping mall in the DC metropolitan area with over 300 specialty shops and restaurants.
Anchor stores include Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Nordstrom and Lord and Taylor. There is also a 16-screen AMC Movie Theatre.
The mall has regular hours from 10 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Sunday. Hours for restaurants and department stores may vary.
Restaurants in the mall include: Brio Tuscan Grille, California Pizza Kitchen, Gordon Biersch Brewery, La Sandia Mexican Grill, TGI Friday's, Season 52 and Capital Grille.
Tyson's Corner Center is 13 miles from Washington DC and receives over 22 million visitors annually.
The mall has over 2.4 million square feet and has three floors. It can be reached by car off I-495 on the Washington Beltway and at Leesburg Pike Rt. 7 and Rt. 123.
The Metrorail Subway is currently being expanded to reach Tyson's Corner Center and should be completed by 2013.
History
The mall was first built in 1968 and had 1.2 million square feet. The mall expanded in 1988 with a bottom floor and the openings of Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom.
The mall is now owned by the Macerich Company.
Apple opened its first original retail store in Tyson's Corner Center in 2001.
