History
The firm was originally created as an operating
unit of KPMG LLP in 1997. In 2002, KPMG spun off the consulting
practice as KPMG Consulting. It would go public on Nasdaq in
2001.
After expanding internationally, the company
would change its name to BearingPoint in 2002.
